Synthesizer module Roland JV-2080 - World standard sound module
The Roland JV-2080 (released in 1997) is a 64-voice synthesizer module with 8 slots for SR-JV80 expansion boards and 3 separate effect sets, is 64-voice polyphonic and 16-time multi-timbral. A clear advantage of the 2080 is the operation. A patch is very quickly edited and adapted. Up to 2900 patches are available. The built-in EFX sets plus additional chorus and reverb / delay offer a variety of possibilities for independent signal processing. Each EFX set contains 40 different effects!
In many of my instrumental songs, I still use the sounds of the JV-2080 - they're just great.
After the success of the JV-1080 in 1994, it took 3 years until Roland decided to bring a successor with the Roland JV-2080 on the market. The supply of ROM samples was identical to the JV-1080, new were the five EFX processors, which now sounded better and offered additional effects.
